Grayson's First Day of School!

Before all the rain and flooding started this week Grayson had his first Day at his new school!
We looked at a lot of different kinds of Daycares, and Preschools. It was a very overwhelming process to pick where Grayson would now spend most of his week.
We decided to go with The Montessori Academy of Lancaster. It is a little bit of a drive but they had the best program and we felt both Grayson would be the most comfortable there.

Each child has to have their own tote bag and since a plain boring tote is not cool enough for my little bug I made him one. Of course it has a Monkey on it. Grayson loves Monkeys!
You can't see it in this picture but I also added a cute name tag with a monkey on his lunch box.

He was very cooperative. I took some other pictures only to find out I forgot to put my SD card back in my camera. So this is the second round of Pictures.

Can we go yet?

Grayson and his FAVORITE pal! Greg has to be one of the absolutely most devoted fathers! He is constantly at the park or hanging out with Grayson and there is no one he would rather hang out with!
Grayson adores his daddy, this morning he was calling out to him in his sleep it was so adorable.

My boys!

You can not tell to much but Greg had the worst case of Poison Ivy on his face and neck. We have discovered that Grayson is not allergic to Poison Ivy and we think he may have accidentally gotten into some at the park. On the way home Greg always carries Grayson on his shoulders and we think Grayson touched Greg's eye and neck and that is how he got it. This is after several days of steroids to take the swelling down. Poor Greg was soo itchy!

Mommy and Grayson! I had to start work this day so it was a big day at our house. Unfortunately I was not able to drop him off on his first day but I went and picked him up!

Our little Family!

Grayson loves his new school. He went for two days and then all the flooding happened. We were afraid the second day that we would not be able to get out to get him because they started closing roads. Part of Middletown was evacuated and most of Harrisburg and Hershey too. Hershey park and Zoo America were under water. I have had off school since Wednesday due to flooding and Grayson has been home since Thursday. We have been hanging out reading books and watching Yo Gabba Gabba.

Luckily we are very prepared for power outages and have lots of food and bottled water. We are also about a mile from the creek and high up so we stayed dry. The flooding has gone down around town and now begins the clean up. I was at the Local Library today helping dry out carpets and clean up.
It is going to be a slow recovery. But we are safe!

Look for more updates from Greg later!

Hazel,
I LOVE the picture of you and Grayson, it's adorable! (of course, all the ones of him are adorable, but I think that was a great shot of you two).
